Welcome to the world of 19th Century men's fashion. You will begin your journey in the 1820's, and eventually—we hope—land in the 1890's. Yes, technically this period is more fitted to the post-Regency/Georgian era, but we feel that by viewing images from this earlier time, it will help to better illustrate the multitude of design changes made in men's fashions from the end of the Regency era throughout much of the reign of Queen Victoria.
On this, and the following pages, we will show you some original illustrations of men's clothing from each decade, as well as provide a dabbling of information on materials, accessories, and even...*blush*...undies.
